On March 31st, Chris Cuomo, anchor of Cuomo Prime Time and an American television journalist, announced that although he was diagnosed with COVID-19 he will continue with Cuomo Prime Time.
During the show, Cuomo openly discusses his symptoms including body aches, severe chills that led to a chipped tooth, high fever and fever-induced hallucinations with primary CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills, and shortness of breath,” Cuomo said
Cuomo often interviews his older brother Andrew Cuomo, governor of New York, about new strategies to combat the virus. During these conversations, they also display a healthy amount of sibling rivalry and gentle ribbing.
“He’s young, in good shape, strong — not as strong as he thinks — but he will be fine,” Andrew Cuomo said.
Although Chris Cuomo has been quarantining himself in his basement, his wife Christina Cuomo recently tested positive for COVID-19. For now, Chris Cuomo is making a steady recovery but only time will tell how the rest of the nation fairs.
