New James Bond movie is the last of an era
February 20, 2020
With 24, about to be 25, movies in the 007 franchise it’s hard to believe that there is anywhere left to take this character. “No Time To Die” will be the 25th movie, and also the last one Daniel Craig will play as James Bond. The new movie will hit U.S. theaters on April 10th of this year, and its cult-following is ready. But the James Bond movies might be changing in the future. When speaking to Variety.com Barbara Broccoli, one of the overseers of the franchise, said “He [James Bond] can be of any color, but he is male.” There has been some talk about a female James Bond, but Broccoli thinks that new characters should be created for women rather than being worked into a previously male character. I’m looking forward to seeing more diversity in the future Bond movies, as well as hopefully some new story lines that apply to newer generations.
