At home workouts to do during quarantine

Stay-at-home orders have resulted in the closing of gyms. However, there are a lots of programs being offered so you can get a workout in from your house.

Yoga

  • Yoga with Adriene on YouTube has a variety of yoga related workouts available on her YouTube channel.
  • Core Power Yoga is also live-streaming classes on their YouTube channel along with a limited collection of other classes on their on demand channel.
  • Los Angels Modo Yoga studio is doing two livestreams a day on their Instagram, @Modoyogala.
  • The Westerville Community Center is also offering yoga classes through Zoom. Yoga Flow classes will take place on Mondays take place from 4-4:45 p.m. Gentle Yoga classes will take place Wednesdays from 4-4:45 p.m.

Chris Hemsworth’s Centr

  • Chris Hemsworth is offering 6 free weeks of his fitness app Centr. The app offers various workouts including Pilates and yoga.

Pilates and Mixed with Other Workouts

Besides Centr, Pilates classes are being offered through various livestreams and videos. Club Pilates if offering a free livestream on their Facebook page.

  • Kit Rich, Jennifer Lawrence’s fitness trainer, has a YouTube channel with cardio/strength/Pilates workouts with modifications for different levels.
  • Popsugar Fitness is also offering fitness classes on YouTube including but not limited to Pilates and cardio dance workouts.

High Intensity Workouts

  • Cyberobics, a platform from RSG Group, is streaming various workouts that are free for the first 90 days or until gyms are allowed to reopen.

Workouts for Strength

  • Les Mills is offering a free two-week trial for their on-demand classes and they also have free classes on their YouTube channel.
  • BodyFit by Amy also offered free classes on their YouTube channel with workouts that include kettlebells, weights, and resistance bands.

Peloton App

  • Peloton is offering their app that contains a variety of workouts free for the first 90 days.

Dance Workouts

  • Plyojam is a hip-hop-style workout that is being offered for free for 90 days
  • Obé Fitness has live and on-demand dance cardio, yoga, and strength workouts. Using the code ATHOME, you can get a free month long trial.

Miscellaneous Workouts

  • The Tone It Up app is free through mid April and offers a variety of workouts from weight training and cardio to barre and boxing.
  • Amazon Prime is offering all kinds of different classes to their Amazon Prime members for people of all experience levels.
