With the growing Coronavirus pandemic, most nightly news outlets have been sharing a continuous stream of fear-and-terror-inducing updates. ‘The Office” and “A Quiet Place” actor, John Krasinski, has found a way to alleviate some of the negativity by starting his Youtube Channel, SomeGoodNews, dedicated to sharing positive, uplifting news stories.

The channel, which has 1.58 million subscribers, has currently premiered two episodes of Krasinski’s news segments. The episodes have included spotlights on the healthcare workers helping those affected by the virus, an interview with “The Office” co-star Steve Carell and a surprise performance of “Hamilton” from the original Broadway cast via Zoom.

“We are all going through an incredibly trying time. But, through all of the anxiety, through all of the confusion, all of the isolation and all of the “Tiger King,” somehow the human spirit still found a way to breakthrough and blow us all away,” Krasinski said in his first episode of Some Good News.

With over a combined 20 million views between the two episodes, the public has received Krasinski’s idea well. In a time of uncertainty and negativity, Krasinski has managed to find a way to continue to spread positivity and light-hearted fun to millions of others.
