Due to the coronavirus pandemic shutting down all sports, NASCAR has found a way to keep competing through it.

NASCAR stands for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Stock car racing is just a type of automobile race that is mainly found in America.

NASCAR has found a way however to keep competing through something called IRacing.

IRacing is an online racing simulation that allows one to compete with others in car races globally. This form of online racing with NASCAR drivers has been called eNASCAR iRacing Pro invitational Series.

Even though all NASCAR Cup Series races through May 3 are postponed. Virtual races featuring many of the same drivers who compete in NASCAR’s top series will be competing.

Many are saying that the simulation game is very realistic.

Current NASCAR cup series driver Clint Bowyer in a conference call commented on NASCAR iRacing Pro invitational Series event.

“First of all, it is extremely realistic. You’re using the same mechanics, the same forces, the same movements as you use in real life to make your car go fast; and that is your hand-eye coordination, your feet,”

People can even tune in to watch these online races and many are giving positive feedback about it.

While stuck in your house during quarantine, look up to see if any races are going on soon and grab some popcorn and watch a race.
