Companies and governments are going to have to stand up to China some day soon. The NBA has an ample opportunity to do so. I understand China’s position on this situation, but it’s a bad one. A few weeks ago, Lebron James took the side of the NBA and said that Daryl Morey needs to be educated on the issue. Seriously? What China has been doing to its people can’t be ignored. The NBA is funding a government that commits human rights violation on a daily basis. Their market may be big, but is the money worth helping to fund those crimes?
